I'm Andy McKay (Mac-Eye), during my 37 years as an advertising agency art director, I was lucky enough to commission some of the world's most accomplished photographers.
Among them were Helmut Newton, Sir Don McCullin, Nadav Kander, Jean Loupe Sieff as well as many others who were not as famous but still incredibly talented. The one quality they all shared was the ability to inspire.
Proof being, that after all those projects and years standing next to the camera, I decided it was time to get behind one myself and apply a little of what I'd learned to my own work.
I've always been fascinated by portraiture but lately have found my eye straying to other genres.
I'm originally from the midlands of England but I now live in Brighton Ontario with my wife and a camera collection that seems to be growing at an alarming rate.
